"Design thinking towards a Better World"

I started my career studying DESIGN, working as a RADIO-BROADCASTER since I was 14. Music was always "running through my veins", and I attempted to bring "alternative designs" to MUSIC in the '80s. I embraced the "pirate radio movement". Then I worked in the music business as a representative for a multinational record label.
Although, I decided to swap my DESIGN path into an ELECTRONICS career course.

When I completed these studies, I became a Service/Field ENGINEER, with an interruption, called to duty due to conscription to the military service. On my return, I worked in a pioneering BANKING ATM's multifunctional cash-dispenser builder. Moving on, to a well-known multinational CAR BUILDER builder consortium, at the robotic lines.

I spend 14 years working for a world leader in image products and solutions for digital office and home systems. This company is known as one of the first WWF’s (using the Panda WWF logo) Conservation Partners, since 1998, providing significant funding for WWF's (environmental organization) global conservation work and supporting their environmental practices. Here, sustainability became more embedded in my mind every day, to the stage that I left to return to academia to study and research how I can help make this world a better place.

I completed more academic studies in Technology for Design Innovation and settled in the East Midlands, Loughborough, UK. This is how I intend to proceed with a Research Project in "Sustainable Design".

"World( ● ̮̮•)Panda®" is a sustainable design life project and brand with academic links that I created to develop research studies and provide consultancy research services in this field.
The aim is to promote awareness and implementation of sustainable behaviour changes by using "Design Thinking" towards a Better World.

I graduated more recently (2021) from Loughborough University with a Master of Science in Human Factors Ergonomics at the School of Design. This research investigated the FATBERG problem and the household's motivation to support a behaviour change intervention.

...and not only, but as well...

Professionally, I got involved as a consultant yet, I ended up joining as Head of Innovation and Business Development/HFE Consultant of a local complementary medicine clinic, Good Health TCM L'boro Clinic, in Loughborough.

Alongside this, I am a PADI/BSAC Scuba Diver and I dedicate my leisure time to Underwater Photography and Archery (alumni member of Loughborough University Archery Team).

Apart from these activities, linked to my music past I still eventually undertake some Deejaying, Music Producing (recently more electronic than guitar playing, due to the increasing of my carpal problems [CTS] on both hands...) but also cooking and coffee blending, which is definitely a family gift.

Just for information (and to fill your curiosity) purposes, my academic studies on the following fields:

  • Cognitive Ergonomics

  • Physical and Human Function

  • Human-Computer Interaction

  • Inclusive Design for Products and Services

  • Data Collection and Analysis

  • Occupational Ergonomics

  • Human Factors and Systems

  • Environmental Ergonomics (inc. climate, sound, lighting and worker performance)

  • Greening the Economy: Sustainable Cities and Lessons from Scandinavia

  • Understanding Research Methods

  • Sustainability and Society

  • Business Engagement And Behaviour Change

  • Challenges Of Using Alternative Transport Fuels

  • Making AD Work For Local Authorities

  • Anaerobic Digestion - Sustainable Development - AD The Food Waste Solution

  • Sustainable Development - Wastewater Treatment

  • Innovation and Enterprise

  • Business Entreprises - Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services

  • Networked living: exploring information and communication technologies

  • Engineering the future;

  • Make your experience count

  • The technology of music

  • Innovation: designing for a sustainable future

  • Design and designing

  • Introducing environment;

  • Scientific Investigations

  • The environmental web

I was awarded in Dec 2011 the Dip Des Inn (Diploma in Design Innovation), then a BSc(Hons) Tech (Bachelor in Sciences, with honours, of Technology to Design Innovation. Later after many academic modules study, I enrolled on a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Ergonomics and Human Factors, this as an attempt to understand how to design settings with humans as a priority. I ended up completing a Masters in this field to be able to research one of my main goals, to develop an intervention that can reduce the recurrence of Fatberg outbreaks.
My studies now are concentrated in this research aimed at a PhD in this field.

My belief in doing this project and creating this business is that if someone must do anything for a better world, I should better start it by myself.

Since I always deeply believed that we must and anyone can contribute for...A BETTER WORLD.
